Volkswagen Tiguan Service and Repair Manual: Rear Motor Support and Sun Shade Cable, Removing and Installing

Removing

• Remove the headliner.
• Remove the sun shade motor.
• Remove the sun shade.
• Remove the screws -arrows- for the cable covers -1- and -2- (2 Nm).
• Remove the cable covers -1- and -2- from the rear part -4- .

• Disconnect the sun shade cables -3- from the guide tubes -1- and the motor support -4-
• Pry the motor support -4- out using a suitable screwdriver -5- from the rear lid -6- .

• Remove the guide tube -1- from the cable bracket -4- in the rear lid -3-.
• Remove the cable -2- from sun shade rail -5-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Note

Do not lubricate the sun shade slide cables and motor support.

• Install the sun shade.
• Install the sun shade motor.
• Install the headliner.
• Perform a panorama sunroof motor adaptation after completing all work.
