Volkswagen Tiguan Service and Repair Manual: Wind Deflector, Removing and Installing
Removing
- Open the glass sunroof panel all the way forward.
- Unclip the clips -3- using a screwdriver
from the mounting bracket -2- for the wind
deflector -1- .
- Unclip the mounting bracket -2- for the
wind deflector -1- using a screwdriver.
- Remove the screws -2- on the wind deflector
-1- .
- Remove the wind deflector -1- upward.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
Tightening Specification
Wind deflector screws 2 Nm
Note
- The wind deflector bracket must audibly engage.
- Always replace the brake clips after it has been disassembled.
Wind Deflector Bearing, Removing and Installing
Removing
- Remove the wind deflector
- Remove the mounting pin -3- from the upper
screen frame -2- and the wind deflector bearing
-1- .
- Remove the wind deflector bearing -1- in
the direction of the -arrow- from the upper
screen frame -5- .
- Remove the tension wire -2- from the lower
screen frame -4- and remove the screen
-3- .
Installing
- Slide the tension wire -3- carefully
through the net -2- and all the way into the
lower screen frame -4-.
Installation is performed in reverse order of the removal.
Use a new mounting pin to secure the wind deflector bearing.
- Install the wind deflector.
Automatic Rotary Switch for Glass Sunroof Panel and Sun Shade, Removing

- Remove the automatic rotary switch for the glass panel of the panorama
sunroof.
Remove the front glass panel.
Remove the rear glass panel.
Remove the outer seal -1- with the adhesive
surface -3- from the roof
