Replacing the battery on a vehicle with the Start/Stop System:

Vehicles with the Start/Stop System have a special starter battery due to the increased load on the cycles.

When replacing the correct starter battery, pay attention to the replacement part identification. Refer to the Parts Catalog. Starter batteries for vehicles with the Start/Stop System have "AGM" (Absorbent Glass Mat) or "EFB" (Enhanced Flooded Battery) marked on them.

Note

• If the vehicle has a battery sensor, then it is necessary to perform the battery setting parameters after installing a new battery.
• The technical values for the new battery will be transmitted to the battery monitoring when the battery setting parameters is performed.
• Perform battery setting parameters.

1. Battery Ground Cable Terminal Clamp
   • Pay attention to the information regarding the threaded connection for the battery terminals.
   • In vehicles with a Start/Stop System, the Battery Monitoring Control Module -J367- (battery sensor) is additionally installed here. Observe the instructions.

Battery Parameterization

The technical values of a new battery are transmitted to the battery monitoring when the battery parameterization via the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester is performed after a new battery is installed.
